gosh...its so tough to be in the world world...
Happy belated new year to all u guys out there...solly for the late...but then...better late than never mar...take it or leave it... Phone calls starting streaming in after the new year, tot is a good thing, but then is like nothing lor...but then, got calls better than dun haf...so yeah...One of the interviews, working as a recruitment consultant, was not a good experience for mi. Interviewer : So, y decided to come to this line, since u have taken a degree in IT ? Me : Erm, i wanted to broaden my horizons, and wanted to spread my wings and give more options to myself, instead of sticking to one field. I : But then, this is a tough job, have to do alot of cold calling, do telemarketing... M ( i was shocked at first ) : Well, if i think is tough, i will not choose this line and will not send this application at the first place. ( I didnt expect this job is like doing sales leh ... ) After 30 minutes of interview ......... I : U know, by listening and looking at your body langauage, i dun think u are suitable for this job, y dun u stick to your line of field. Y dun u go home and think abt it, and give mi a call when u think u are ready, and we c abt that yeah... M ( I was like WTF ) : HUH ? Am i supposed to call u ?? i tot u supposed to call mi ?? I : (serious look out of the sudden ) : No, i was supposed to wait for you call..... I was like...wtf, is this the way interviewers are supposed to work ?? i mean, instead of encourageing ppl, u are demoralising and criticisiing the way they sell themselves...i mean...wtf...no way i am going to work there, even though the pay is good. ( pay is about 1.8 ) The most comfy of all interviews is yesterdae, where i was being interview for the Project Marketing Exective... Interviewer : So Evan, Wat u being up to ? Mi : I juz graduated from QUT.....blah blah.. I, a aus himself : Are u seriously !! Oh man, i miss tat place...anyway which part u from ?? mi from SYDNEY !! then we started chatting,haha...informal interview... i mean, interviews should be like tat mar...no meh ?? at least u must make them feel comfy,...but like the one i attend the one on tuesdae, total let down... Anyway, need to look for more jobs..and wish mi luck...hopefully can get the job soon...
