Rochelle is back in singapore, for the whole of 3 weeks, not exactly the whole of 3 weeks, but rather break up into 1 week and then back to Indo, then back to singapore for the last 2 weeks.

It is good to c her, as I never get to hold, or to kiss or to hug her....It was a rather fulfilling 3 weeks for mi, though i never get to c her much because I haf been working lately...

But it is great to c her, and time flies so fast, to c her gg back to sydney today.....

Gonna miss her so much, her smile, her laughter...her "WUUUUUU"......

Even though i am a person who always stand on his rights and principles, but sometimes, there is no point in standing when the ppl ard you are not helping you at all.

I dun know why am i feeling this, it seems so difficult to understand why am i feeling this, let alone ppl who think they really understand mi. To be honest, i am pretty fortunate and grateful that there are real close friends outside there, to really make u feel better if u are gg tru a rough patch.

But i am thinking of other things. I was looking another perspective point of view. I wanted to do this, but smthing is there to block it. I wanted to do that, it seems taht there is another blockage. I am really sick of all these blockage, these blockages are not easy to be solved, but rather it is mental blockage that is meant to be solved by myself. It is me who always think of it this way, but I guess i should look at a broader point of view.

I am damn down at work today. I really dun know why today i am like tat. Is it because of a comment my colleague make earlier in the morning ? Or is it other things that i am pretty disappointed abt ? Mayb i set my expectations too high...tat is why u drop further and it will be difficult to pull yourself up.

I am always a optimistic person, thus the saying :

With the number of friends ard mi, it is with no doubt tat I ma the luckiest guy on earth. But of these number of friends, there muz be at least 2 of them who actually think they are smart enuff to outsmart mi, though they didnt to it very obvious.

Truth hurts, yes, but then if the affected party know tat you are lying to him, isnt it more hurting for the affected party ? Simple logic like these shouldnt be taught by anyone else, if u are sensitive enuff, you will feel it any o how.

Wherever u go, there are always humps along the way. Humps are there for a purpose, it is always a challenge to solve or clear the humps. It is one of the first step to success, once u clear the step, u have many steps to clear, clearing all the way to your future. Dont be dishearted if are stuck, try and try again, you will make it to the finishing line.

I will always cry whenever i recite this, but then it seems difficult, but then preservence and determintation always rule my mind. Tolerance is also one of the factors to success, my buddy sae tat i have high tolerance, but i guess it is how i was being brought up.

I am suffering in silence, only tell my problems to my close ones. but it is always good to say it out, but i hope i am not being a nuisance to them, coz it seems pretty boring to only hear my problems...i hope they do not think tat i am the persistent one.....

One of those ways is to never let people kill my beliefs and faith that help me to face life everyday. This world already has so much evil and negativity that I REFUSE to add more into my own world. I am not being difficult here, I juz wan to have a life that everyone can enjoy. I juz wan to go on leave, leave all the unhappy stuff here, and enjoy the breeze in bintan, and shop all i wan in bangkok, and eat for all i care in malaysia. but i am unable to do tat.

life is not simple as it is, mayb this is juz one of the challengers that i have to face in the working world. But i am unable to accept tat life is so unfair to a certain extreme extent, that he will actally protect the same species as he is, but dun u think tat he should actually be sensitive to one feelings ?

I never felt so helpless in my whole life, this is the first time to be honest. Am i being so soft hearted ? I already tell him wat i think alrayd, but it seems tat the more i tok abt it, the more he has more comments to my explaination. Wat kind of superior is tat ? I almost drop a few tears in front of him. But it seems pointless to do tat.

In tat kind of situation, I really dun know wat to do, should i continue, or should I juz stay on and carry on with my work. He alrady have a bad impression of me, but it seems that no matter how hard i do, he doesnt seem to notice mi at all. A good superior actually assess a person equally, but it doesnt seem to happen on him.

I am not fussy, either am i being a difficult person to handle. I really do appreciate when all my collegaues do actually give mi some token of appreciation when they insisted, but do tat matters to me ? My pay rise and bonus is still up to him. If he thinks that i am not being responsible, i am not responsible to him no matter how hard i try. So wat is the point of giving mi all the gifts ? I do appreciate really, so thank you.

Let put it this way, I always stay positive, so that I can look forward to the days ahead, whenever there are negative stuff, I will always turn into positive, but still, it is not easy as it seems as u are dealing with a difficult boss. But i will always try my best.

I will still give my best shot. Though i feel like crying sometimes. IT seem tat nobody understand where i coming from...

I bought lunch, but totally no appetite to eat...mayb i juz put aside and c it rotss....

Have a rough morning, some team manager called mi and tok to mi in a ah-lian attitude, and tok to mi as if i owe her a living, so i tok to her in a ah-beng attitude.

she is questioning my integrity and principle of work, which nobody does so in my whole freaking life, and if she is unable to accept the way i explain it to her, then too bad. Dun come freaking juz because of a tiny wheeny problem and make a hell big fuss about it.

Mayb for a start u can come tok to mi in a nicer way, rather than once the conversation started u beginning to question my ethics. Sometimes when i come to think of it, it is pointless to actually think of all the bad memories, but make the bad memories turn into good and positive memories. It is not easy at first, but of cause with the encourgement of your close colleagues urging u on, even though they themselves are having problems, It is a very selfish to think of yourself and not to think of others as a whole.

Working for whole 3 years coming now, working in the same company with the same department, I was wondering whether is it time to have a change. But one thing to note, there are many good memories in this company that doesnt make mi move, but then good memories are here to stay, bad memories have to make it good.

Sometimes, it is not easy, i do agree, but then, determination and preserverance, will conquer all odds.

It always hurt mi when there is somebody, who is close to you, is having trouble in any other way. I as their close friend, couldn't stand there and do nothing since they have help me in more ways than 1.

I always try my best to actually make them feel better, be it a listening ear, give them a helping hand, give them advice, but of coz hopefully my advice is a good advice.

It is always happy to c my colleagues to be smiling and cheerful, as it make a lot of difference in the already-unhappy-moody environment. It is a plus point alrady, and also happy tat i could make a difference to them. (",)

This past weeks are pretty okie, only that there are so much work to do. Many problems come along the way, nothing seem to stop them, but neverthless, always stay the positive way, smile always, they is the way to make it happen anyway.

this is the second time i feeling this.....stress, pressure to perform well, moody, can-u-see-my-black-face look. Is this normal ?

1st time happen is back in aussie, when i am not doing well for my IT module. Cant remember wat is the name of the module, i remember tat time i study damn hard for it, but in the end failed, which i totally dropped a few tears, coz i feel pressure for letting my parents down, and indecisive of whether to go back to singapore anot....but then due to friends support, i decided to stay on, coz i believe myself tat i can do it, juz need to work extra harder....

Juz got a recent news tat my boss has actually tender her resignation, which is not surprising for mi, coz she has mentioned it like a couple of times, so i guess it is a sooner or later thingy.

But didnt i know tat I would take it so badly, for a peson who actually fight for mi and stand up for mi, actually is gg off soon like 3 months time. It is a deep loss for someone like her, but then I guess life has to go on, no matter wat happen. Time will heal, ppl sae.

In this company, there are only 2 of the closest colleagues that I have worked with, One of them is my good friend-buddy, another one is my boss. We have this relationship that we can tok anything under the sun, the kind of relationship that will forget all the blues. Juz by toking to them, u feel tat you are the happiest person and also think back tat lucky u are in this company. She is always supporting u and likewise, I will be always there to support her, regardless of what problems she is facing.

Am pretty fortunate to have her as a close colleague, that y I always treasure this relationship, no matter what happens. That is y ppl think that how come I treat her so good and such, I will alwyas told them, there is nothing for mi to actually explain, coz to us, we know wat is gg on, and we always try to make each other happy, be a listening ear and be there for each other. To stay positive always is one of the main quotes we are using, so that we can survive here in this company.

But nevertheless, I do hope tat we will stay in this relationship for more years to come, for I do not wan to lose a good friend like you.

I think is just a month ago that we actually wanted to go down to dempsey P.S cafe to actually have deserts, since we are ard the town area. For all i can remember is we were shopping for new year clothings and decided to end the day by having deserts since we two wanted to try out their good old delicious cakes and pies.

We look at the menu and decided to order a latte ( i am damn tired from all the driving ) and my bb decided to order a ginger soda. We two decided to actually shared a ginger sponge cake since bb wanted to have it since the daes when i am in brissy. come to think of it, it is pretty damn long, say 3 years ?

We called the waiter

Waiter : Yes, Can i have your order ?
Me : Yeah, can i have a latte, a ginger soda, a ginger sponge cake and also 2 cups of ice water. W ( writing the order on the piece of paper ) : Anything else sir ?
M : that be all.
W: So i repeat your order. a latte, ginger soda, a ginger sponge cake and also 2 cups of ice water.
M: Tat rite.
W: Do you want your latte HART ? M ( puzzled look ) : sorry, again ? * bb was like looking at the waiter lor*

At this point of time, I was like thinking : your latte has hard ( Hart ) and soft ? Since when there is a HARD latte ?

W ( i think he is confused too ) : yeah, HART or cold ?
M : OOOOOOO !!!! please give mi a hot one.

He left. I was like telling bb, i tot he is referring to HARD and soft. I didnt know there is a hard lattee here u know....bb was laughing as usual.

So is it me, or the waiter ? Is him, bb say. HENG AR !!! tot i need to really go for a ear checkup.

It seems that collecting ang pows seems to be getting lesser than lesser, but then I am awaiting for my BIG ang pow from ABN, which u know wat i mean - beat it ...not gg to tell you how much am i getting from there !!!....

Shanice drop by in singapore on sat, for a very short visit to come visit my baby, and bb was so happy when she c her here in singapore finally !! Shanice look so different from the pics that bb have sent to mi, looked thinner, but neverthless, she is a pretty fun and outgoing ger to be with, and I sure she will miss us juz like us missing her when she get back to KL juz this afternoon.

Not only that, I met some of shanice and bb room mates back in perth - Gerald, matthew, and also yvonne, and she is the only one butch tat actually can get along with - though she is totally different from tat "guy" - gladys, totally different.

Shanice actually went to T3 after touching down, and after tat went to HK cafe in east coast for dinner, in which after tat went to dempsey road for coffee and chilling out. She was pretty surprised for the atmosphere there, coz she cant get it back in her country. Yvonne left last min, so i guess it is the 3 of us enjoying coffee then....

Vivo city on monday, which i took leave to tues, and also suntec and marina square to get some stuff to bring back, and bb got herself a bag which she has been aiming for pretty long time alryad. Went to Seah Im food center for lunch, and shanice really complimented tat the food here is much better than in her country. I was like "REALLY ???" Steamboat next, and we actually get to know yvonnee gf, and oh mine, shanice keep asking mi to take my eyes of her, bb and mi do actually agree on one thing. which is - u know wat i mean....ahhahaha....after dinner, we went to beoko cafe to actully enjoy some drinks and chilling out, so i guess it it pretty ok after all.

Today, bb and i went to HDB to settle the downpayment - and i am so happy that everything has been settle - for now. Bought lunch back for shanice and we eat together, and after that send shanice off at the airport . and i can feel bb eyes are watery - and she is so sad when she left for the gate.........To be honest, I am also feel sad though, for a person like her who left mi a very good impression of her, juz like yow chan back in those days....

that abt it for the last few days of the new year, and man !! i need to go jogging and rollerblading.....

After reading the newspaper about having more ERP gantries and increasing ERP prices juz to actually ease the traffic conditions here, here is my take.

Firstly, I am a driver myself, and to be honest, I always leave my car at home during the weekdays as I am working in One Raffles Quay. Parking is expensive there, and also the amount of Benz , and BMWs always hogging the roads leading Shenton way, causing all the morning jams there. Not only that, taxi drivers who think that they are F1 drivers, cutting lanes here and there, are a major factor as well. My personal opinion, all should lie on one person mindset. If they dun think for pple as in be considersate for other drivers, this problem will never end, JAMs will still occur for the next 20 years. If u cant change lanes, go the longer route, or better still, plan your route, and always stay on that lane.

Secondly, dun think by putting more erp gantries and increasing the erp fare will help the caused. How to take public transport if public transport increases theirs too ? Bus and MRT fares increases every time there is smthing increase. So if 1 item increase, all will increase. All blame one another for the increase. Taxi is the worst affected. So expensive, from YCK to my place, cost abt 15 bucks. use to cost at least 12 bucks. increase like 20%. Before the adjustment, taxi drivers always complain sae the fare is always not enuff to feed many mouths. But after the adjustment, they complain again, because there are not enuff ppl to take their taxi, thus the low income. Get a life will ya, u the one who suggested to actually increase the fare, and now no ppl taking your taxis, so whose fault ? MRT and bus fares, increase 2 3 cents everytime there is a adjustment. So here increase here and there, i dun think it make a difference. So u pay more for erp gantries, u still need to pay. U take public transport, u still have to pay. So in the end, ppl will still stick to your own original decision. Which is ppl drive car will take car, ppl will take bus will take bus.

Good point to note, they are building more roads, NORTH SOUTH Expressway, Marina expressway. Thumbs up to those, but then again, they are ready in like 7 8 years time. Good things always have to wait. Bad note to point out, more roads open means more ppl buy more cars. more cars in roads mean no difference at all.

In summary, to solve the problem of having less cars on the roads is not my having more erp gantries and also increase erp prices. It is not helpful at all when public transport also go up. So it makes no difference !!! To start with, PLEASE BE GRACIOUS, AND ALSO IF ONE GOES UP, ONE MUZ COME DOWN !!

Got a new hairstyle, new colour, for the new year, and the damage for it ? $65 bucks at sengkang hair salon. Its been a long time since i get my hair dye, initially wanted to do highlights, but then my hair is way too short, it will be a waste of money, so i decided to do dye, which turns out to be not so bad after all.

BB got her results today, and the worst fears has happen to her, she didnt do well in one of the papers, prefer not to say anything, so i prefer to be there with her, in watever she doing and going, it takes time though, but some ppl are juz slower in watever they are doing.

Ok, i must really thank the pple ard mi especially my bb family for making mi fat and huge. I just cant resist the food that her family actually make during those family gatherings. Fanastic chicken gorgoeous beef, appetitzing vegetables, soft potatoes with sour cream and bacon bits, fragrant fried rice, and not forgetting tasty salmon. BOY AM I SO FULL AFTER TAT !!!!

Tat is the food tat I have during the xmas dinner hours ago. And guess wat, we have desserts after tat, Mars ice cream bar, almond linzer cake, nice and pretty cupcakes, and of coz to end it all, a nice coffee. Who will not grow fat by all these food ? But nevetheless, I am equally blessed for all the food that i have anyway.

Presents after tat, I have pretty good harvest this year though. Polo explorer cologne which i was debating should i get it, a bruan buffel wallet and card pouch, which i was hesitating, a elle bath towel, a lip balm from colleague ( thanks ar !! so "nice" of you ), a essence oil from body shop which i think i put it aside, and last but not least, a mousse shower foam from my dear friend cum colleague cum best friend cum buddy, oh yeah, not forgetting, my bb, who got mi a belt - so sweet !!!!

I am damn broke now, buying xmas presents for my colleagues, and also for my bb family, who invited mi for dinner on xmas eve. And also for grandma chalet, even though i go only on Sun, but then I dun mind paying, coz money dun count for my grandma love, not like ppl who think otherwise !!!

Anyway, I juz finished my reservist, DAMN SHAG man !! I never feel like this before. We had a overnight exercise, which i totally hate it. Why do it in the night, it is screwing my body clock man. and the worse thing is, we are building water obstacles, which means, getting my feet soak in water !!! and i mean wearing the green uniform and boots and do it in the water. Oh well, I guess the past entry is pretty short and simple, but i cant possibly put wat we did in aus and write down in words rite, I guess I will put pictures to show u the places that we went to, in a few moments time. BE PATIENT !!

Ever since i return to work on last thursday, everyone has been eagering waiting for my return, which i dun know y..think they need mi to do work for them, only can find this excuse, coz they are not so nice to actually wait for my return !! HAHAHAHA...

Thursdae 9 am - clear my emails, shocked to c i have 154 emails to clear.

10 am - still clearing emails, 100 emails to clear.

12 am - finally finish my emails, and i didnt realised that it is arlayd noon....LUNCH TIME !!!

Juz back from sydney trip, and mind you, I do really enjoy myself there, though it was really distracted by some idiots, which i mean HOUSEFLIES, who keep buzzing us. Unexpectedly alot this season, SPRING leh !! how come so many ar ?

Exciting moments during the sydney trip :

Friday 191007 - Upon reaching sydney, was being greeted by my sis and Rudy, and went straight to Dim Sum for Lunch ( we reached sydney at about 1130++ ).

Sat 20/10/07, during bb's birthday, I decided to give her a treat, juz like any other boyfriend will do. International buffet, take place the sdyney tower, the top floor ( 60++ floors ), where u can c the whole view of the city. Price : A$49.

Some of the views u can to c at the tower while u enjoying your food.....ALL BEAUTIFUL !!

Monday 221007 - took a tour to Blue mountains and c the 3 sisters ( first pic ), which is a must go trip when u are in sydney. Bus ride is like 2 hours, and finally reach there, and I must say, the views are magnificent !!

241007 - trip to port stephens, wat a way to end the tour, Sandboarding....FUN !! Siting Bus while driving on sand, SPEECHLESS !!

All in all, the trip is a great one, though it is only short, it is a quick getaway from work and other distractions, and also most important, get to spend time with my dearest !! :) Next stop, Melbourne !!!

And did I tell you about the new plane A380 ? I would sae it really live up to its name, though it looks the same as the 747 from the outside, but when u get in, WOOHOO !! HILO SPACE !!! haha...more leg room for big size ppl like mi, and also very comfy, go take it if you can !!! u will not regret it !!

Lunch time now, on the hot afternoon, eating subway cheese steak, where that is the best option when u are sick of the food in raffles place. Wat to do where u keep eating teh same thing, time and time again.

My computer die on mi, so it is telling mi to get a new computer, which i am kind of broke now, after the trip to sydney and also paying the downpayment of the new flat in sengkang. BUt then i think sooner or later will get a new one, as I am using BB's lappy, as my lappy my dad is using for his work. So yeha, Need to spend another 2 k on the new computer, fast and realiable. Actually I am thinking of using this old one and will not get the new one until we have a new house, but then it is like 5 years down the road ? So by the time i get now, this new one will be done KAPUT in 5 years time, so i got nothing to lose anyway. But then it is the money that counts !!!!! 2 KKKKKKKKKKKKKKkkkkkkkkkkk...........everyone willing to sponsor mi ??

Hot day outside, that y I decided to tapau in with 2 of the colleagues, 1 chinese and another one Indian. So in the end come back with my BAN MEE, but not tat fantastic, because the person who is supposed to be cooking is not around, so i think is the china woman who cook it in the end. ASk for more veges, but it seems like she didnt add, so yeah. I prefer my meals to have more veges, for a more healthy diet. How much can Veges cost to you anyway ? Y so NEOW one ?

After a month long of procrastinating, which is a root of all evil, i Have decided to do what i am supposed to be doing everyday, and every week, BLOGGING!! haha, though i know ppl who always complain say i never do updates and such, but then hor, u think i dun wan meh, there is noting for mi to blog abt besides adding pictures, and u know adding pictures in this blog using my damn sssssssslllllllloooooooooowwwwwwwwwww computer is like taking ages to load one picture, that y i would recommended pics to be seen at my dar's blog. *points to bb* c, am i sweet ?

Happy birthday to Singapore, though these wishes is like 2 weeks late, SORRY !! but then again, better late than never rite !! haha...first time in the history of singapore that the parade is held at the marina bay waterfront, where the world largest stage above the water is being stage at.
One point to note : i realise ppl keep saying tat they love singapore and were lucky to be in singapore for all the efforts that the government has done. But then y do there complain when GST has rise up to 7 % ? Why do they complain that our expenses has increase ? Isn't it abit ironic ? So they are really a love-hate relationship between singaporeans and the country ?

OOO...i love singapore for the greenery and safe country....OOOOO... i love singapore blah blah blah....AWWWW....next when GST has increase to 9%, in the coffeeshop, u be hearing " WAT THE F***, INCREASED AGAIN ? OH MY GOD !! SO EXPENSIVE NOW, STILL WAN TO INCREASE ?? WAT ? MORE ERP GANTRIES ? SEOW AR ?? and the story goes on and on and on....

these few weeks have been good, if not for the wasted effort in work tat i have to bear with it, but nevertheless, the food that i have been eating is pretty good, fish and co, changing appetities, earl swensens, carl junior, harrys, chicken rice, nasi lemark, fried bee hoon, mudpies...

BB has been staying a nite with me on friday, which i am damn tired, that y my suggestion is to actually come over and stay with mi. but guess wat, BB couldnt slp and she has to disturb my beauty slp by watching tv at 4 am in the morning, and mi have to drive down to mac for berakfast at 6 am in the monring juz because she is hungy. Reason she gave : BB !! U SNORES !! i was like...sheesh....haha...but then bb is so cute lar.....she cant slp because she drink tea in the nite lar....so yeah...so listen ppl, please dun drink tea or coffee if u wan to have a good slp..haha...

Many thanks to close friends and colleagues who sent their well wishes as EARLY as 7 am in the morning !! Though i was pissed at that time coz I AM ON LEAVE AND I WANTED TO SLP LONGER, it was the thought that counts rite !!! but nevertheless, thanks again

what has the world become now ? fashion statements that gone wrong, ppl wear the wrong thing, even though it is a hot hot day in singapore, come on, THIS IS SINGAPORE, who need the snow cap ? who needs long sleeve t-shirt unless u go clubbing ? who need it anyway, bring mi sleeveless shirt anytime man, singapore is to hot to parade your fashion statement, oh how i miss brissy !!!

I was being disgusted by how teenagers dress nowadays, gers wear skirts with TIGHTS inside ? Wat the hell is that ? u heard of pants before ? y make yourself so uncomfy ? Unless u have spots on your legs, take off from it man...it really look not nice lor....juz stick to what u wear best, but then, with such ppl, it really makes my day. :)

Anyone has suggestion on where to go during the weekends ? BB and I has no where to go till we have to go vivo city on a particular sat. BB wanted to try the donuts there, which was being well-received by the public. We decide to join the queue, who c what the whooha abt it.

Rating ? 2/5, it is one of the worst i ever tasted. so not nice, and the favouring is like HUH ? i would still prefer krispy kreme back in sydney. Next stop, the donuts down at city hall, wanted to go try tat and compare.

Transformers !!!! 5/5 for tat movie, one of the best i ever since, in fact, i think it is the best of the best !! Even BB, who is not a robot fan, even agreed 5/5. comedy, action, drama, all come into one, not watch it yet ? WAT ARE U WAITING FOR ???!!!!

Cheesecake cafe, one of the cafes down at siglap. Atmosphere is great there, but too bad it close too early on a weekend. 12.30 to be exact, hopefully it can close later, like other cafes. Great cheesecakes, but it is a bit too expensive though, rating : 4/5.

This afternoon, my bb's mum drive us to the mrt station as her place is starting to rain. Thunders and lightling can be seen and heard and whole place is dark. One interesting fact during the ride to YCK mrt, her mum say : "No matter how qualify and how high your education is, the most important thing to take note when u go out working is your attitude towards your work. So what if you have a degree of first class honours ? If your attitude towards your work is not there, even u have the paper qualifications will not help you in any other way..."

As a matter of fact, i totally agree with wat she say. This remind mi of a person who juz graduated from a local university, and the work attitude totally sucks big time. Not to mention names, though it is pretty obvious as i mentioned this person to many of my colleagues a number of times, and they seem to know how frustrating I am. Y is it so difficult to maintain this sort of level especially in the working world ? If you are doing your best, i can understand. But you are not at the first place.

This is the message to you ( the bloody person who doesnt have the proper enthics in the working world, and u proclaim tat you are from this university ) ---

Am i too good to the person alrayd ? actually, i dun intend to offend you, tat y i dun wan to say anything. Let's not put personal and work affairs together. Have you really wonder how come a person is employed when he/she does not know anything on what she/he is supposed to be working ?
Have you wondered how come he/she has been in this company for so long and have he/she get promoted, he/she seems dun know what is going on ?
Have you ever wonder when he/she has made mistakes for their own programme, he/she has caused a inconvenience to my department, which in turn haf to delay other ppl job deadline ?

It is so irritating to ppl, who thinks they know how to tok, but work wise, is I am the one who do the shit, and i have so many deadlines to give to ppl, and there u are juz telling mi what to do, dun u think u feel abit inconsideration ? My manager has try to calm mi down, telling mi that all these are part and parcel of working life, but then u cant do it everytime u know, dun u know we have only 2 hands and 1 brain ? it irks mi at times u know...so pissed off...

i scolded one of the team leaders few days back, for being so ignorant, forgive mi for scolding, for he is new to this position. MIND MY WORDS, it NEW TO THIS POSTITION, not new to this bank. If it is latter, then i can understand. New to this position, coz he rise up the ladder from a lower position to team leader, which means 1 thing, which he should know wat is going on and such rite ? but no, he does not know anything. Which he is deserved to be scolded. U are here in this company for so long, surely u know how is things run here rite ? and there u are protecting your staff and asking mi how to do it ? y dun u give mi your salary and i teach you how to do it ?

LONDON : Dutch bank ABN Amro and British banking group Barclays on Monday confirmed they were in "early and exploratory" talks over a possible merger to create the world's fifth-largest bank.

Shares in ABN Amro had soared 9.6 percent earlier on press reports that Barclays wanted to make an offer to buy the Dutch group.

"Barclays PLC confirms that it is in exclusive preliminary discussions with ABN Amro Holding NV concerning a potential combination of the two organisations which will create value for both sets of shareholders," Barclays, the third-biggest British bank, said in a statement.

"These discussions are the result of careful consideration to create a highly complementary partnership. The talks are at an early and exploratory stage and there can be no certainty that they will lead to a transaction."

A takeover by Barclays of ABN Amro would create a group with a market capitalisation of more than US$160 billion (120 billion euros), making it the world's fifth-biggest behind Citigroup, Bank of America, both of the United States, China's ICBC and British rival HSBC.

The combined enterprise would have 47 million clients and employ 220,000 people in 50 countries.

Analysts viewed a tie-up as being positive for ABN Amro which is under pressure from some of its shareholders who want to break it up.

"After recent activist investors pushing ABN to break-up, a merger with a highly respected bank as Barclays may not be something they could refuse," Dresdner Kleinwort analysts James Eden and Ian Gordon said in a research note before the announcement.

The Dutch bank, which has big interests in emerging economies, is facing break-up demands from hedge fund investors The Children's Investment Fund (TCI) and Toscafund, which want management to sell assets separately to make profits for shareholders.

Meanwhile, analysts said that Barclays could also face competition for ABN Amro from other banks, including BNP Paribas or Societe Generale in France, US-based Wachovia and Spain's Banco Santander Central Hispano. They are all thought to be interested in acquiring parts of the ABN Amro empire.

Barclays's stock dropped 0.8 percent to 677 pence on Monday.

"The value of ABN broken up is more than the whole. Royal Bank of Scotland or Wachovia could buy ABN's US and Treasury businesses, while Santander could buy its Brazilian and European retail banking businesses," said Magnus
Mathewson, banks analyst at stockbroker Hitchens Harrison.

A deal between Barclays and ABN Amro was first mooted two years ago but was torpedoed by the chief executive of the Dutch bank, Rijkman Groenink.

Groenink had insisted then that cultural, legislative and governance differences meant that ABN Amro would be the "junior" partner in the deal and would be "absorbed" by Barclays.

The market capitalisation of Barclays is currently 44.3 billion pounds while ABN Amro is 39.1 billion pounds, so the difference in size persists.

Barclays said last month that its net profit surged to a record 4.571 billion pounds last year, while ABN Amro announced a rise in profit of 7.6 percent to 4.78 billion euros for 2006. - AFP/de

GONG XI FA CAI !!!!!

3 days of the new year, WOOHOO!!!! GONE SO FAST !!!! y is tat time travel so fast when we are having fun, especially the new year, is juz like yesterdae when we celebrate the new year..

NYE - 170207

reunion dinner with the TAN family, coz bb has alrady come for mine earlier in the week, so it is juz fair to especially go to theirs, since they invited mi over to her auntie hse down at serangoon. Lucky got the car, then it be convenient for mi to especially drive down instead of bb haf to wait for mi at AMK MRT then take the bus to her auntie hse.

Haf sweet and sour fish, mushrooms, abalone, and roast duck. not forgetting Shark fin and tan yuan. haf a filling dinner, except for some scenes which i prefer not to be mentioned, as it describe how one person actually show concern but in the end was been barked at; how one person actually painfully prepare the food and it was not being appreciated.

went back home to actually do the prayers, and counting down of the new year at the same time. Went to 2 temples, one at joo chiat, and another one at bedok. took exactly one hour then managed to catch soccer. keke....

Got nothing to do, decided to catch a movie and eat steamboat down at bugis. catch NORBIT - eddie murphy film. Pretty funny, but the babe is very pretty i muz say. 100 mins show, laughing for abt 90 mins. 3/5 rating - agreed by bb.

Steamboat is next, and the price is increased from 15 to 18. Ask y, they sae is the new year - everything is expensive so they increase the price. Oh well, wat to do, is the new year yeah. juz enjoy our food, money is not the problem.

wonder how come the top management did not do anything since there is smthing with one of the departments turnover rate is so damn high ? Wonder how come the head of the department still can sit at his/her position so steady and treat it like nothing happened ?

Ever since i joined the company, at least 90% of them has left, and this 90% includes the 1st and 2nd batch ( meaning, the first batch are the old staff, and the 2nd batch, is the new guys who took over the old staff and they left too ) how bad can it be ?

This shows one thing, for wat i can c here, it is not the work and the stress that make them leave, well, it is other stuff ( if u know wat i mean ). All this person know is to scold scold and scold. How many ppl can work in this environment ? How can 1 person take all the credit and make us all suffer ? Dun this person know tat he/she can sit at this position because of the hard work by us ?

And not to mentioned, this news has been spread at the whole of my company, including other companies too...how bad can it be ? It really reflect how bad it is in this department alone. I am so envy of other departments, where eveyone work in harmony, helping each other, for the benefit of everyone.

When will this be stopped, everyone told mi, working for this company for more than 12 months is alrady a achivement. NOW I BELIEVE SO !!

Tell mi abt it, i really hate ppl who suck it up to this person. damn irritating...not to mentioned the A family....

ok....first of all, thanks mitchele for buying lunch for mi, though it takes so long to get for mi lunch ( i haf waited 1 hour plus for my lunch, which the duration of my lunch is 2 hrs. )

2nd, congratulations for singapore team to actually win the ASEAN cup for the 4th time, by beating THAILAND by 1 goal in aggregate. Good effort LADS !!!

Went over to club momo for the countdown of the new year. Pretty funny sad to sae, Lynn was like so high after dancing, and she beginning to lose her voice, due to the fact tat she has been shouting aloud, drinking all the shots, at the end, she was eating satay at LAU PA SAT. tat explains her sore throat. Her friend, jasmine, i reckon i saw her b4, but i dun know where leh...sianz...tat a thought to count. Don was as usual tryin to be funnie...haha...and his cousin, Leroy ? was a guy who trying to act cool, first impression, dun like him, dun know y...sorry kid.

Pretty fun to actually club with u guys, but in summary, I dun like tat place, so crowded, ratio of malays to chinese ? 7 : 3, and they are so pushy, trying to take advantage i think...but nvm, its over, next time i stick to double O, music is nicer, mayb because i OLD ? keke...

Meet up with felicia and her bunch of friends, YK and wat-is-the-name. whikle waiting for them, i and felicia was playing billard, haha...so funny when felicia play. 80% of the balls is i go in one, and it was pretty amazing tat everything finish within 30 mins. Tat is consider fast for a amateur like her. Normally i play 15 mins finish alrady. Hahhaa...Went to EN LOUNGE after tat, pretty interesting, drink oreo ice blended with baileys, which taste like chocolate milk shake, Bb drink lychee martini, quite good. Her friends were eating raw beef, quite nice, while we order some sushi. haha...pretty interesting.

Went to bb house foe xmas dinner, a nice meal, for pictures, please go to her blog, i dun wan to put it here..quite troublesome. After tat we went to harrys at esplanade, meet up with don, and in came a few ang mos, who trying to be funny and make a hell alot of noise, disturb the crowd sad to sae. btu then one of the fat guys actually enjoy himself till he got blood on his forehead, god knows when he got it from. BUt then, WAT A WAY TO START THE XMAS spirit. haha...stupid ppl do stupid things.

ok...back from reservist, and i am happy to say that it is a well-deserved break, though i slp more than doing work, and though it was raining cats and dogs during training, i enjoy the 1st ICT, catching up with old friends, and also doing the things we use to do together...cant wait for the next ICT guys !!

after ICT, dearie went over to my house and do some catch up. haha....she sae she miss mi...*so sweet*, so yeah..after tat we went down to town, and eat some good food, down at wisma atrium. Been wanted to try out the pizza restuarant down at 1st level, though it looks good, but then, it was like disappointed in the sense, because the price is for the presentation, though i sae tat the pizza is 7/10, but my pasta, i give 5/10, coz it was so small serving.. it was the water and the pizza that make mi full, but then i told bb, at least we try smthing new, rather than eathing the same resturant ie : sake, fish and co, NYDC, TCC and blah blah..

Chance upon the live telecast of the table-tennis match between singapore and south korean, and man, was wondering how come the koreans like to shout at every point they win ? it is good ? does it have their advantages ??

one word to describe it : ANNOYING !!!

Y must shout ? its not like u need a alot of strength to get the ping pong ball across. I play this ball game before, and mind u, I was the doubles champion for my school, along with my partner, which i dun know where he go...haiz....

No doubt that korean are much stronger than the singaporeans, but then, it was so annoying that they need to shout at every point they won. Or is it they wanted to distract their opponents ? Now that is a point to wonder....

But end result, singapore lost in 20 minutes....haiz...but nevertheless, they got a bronze...

Finally, my body and health cant take this anymore, since my mind ask mi to keep it going, but then, my other parts of the body have break down..flu, cold, cough, fever, all come in a package yeah...its tat time of the season again....HAIZ.....
